The Symphony by the Lake at Chetola Resort has become a favorite summer event. The dates of the symphony for this year is Friday, July 21, 2023. You can sit by the lake at Chetola Resort in the cool mountain breeze, and watch the swans drift by. Bring a picnic, or sample delicious foods prepared by Chetola’s chef. Immerse yourself in the delightful sounds of the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra as the evening slips into night. The grand finale closes with a spectacular fireworks show.Although the concert begins at 7:30, the gates to Chetola Resort will open at 5:30 to allow time for dining and selecting a spot on the lawn. Ticket can be purchased at the Blowing Rock Visitor Center or at the gate, although it is advised to purchase ahead of time.
Parking is available in the lots at Tanger Shoppes on the Parkway, with entry to the back of Chetola Resort grounds. Parking is not permitted inside Chetola Resort for this event.
The tents that are set up around the perimeter of the lawn are reserved areas, but the rest of the area around the lake is on a first-come-first- served basis. Tents can be rented from the Blowing Rock Chambler of Commerce. That should also be done in advance. Or you can bring a lawn chair or a blanket if you like. Please do not bring pop-up tents, or any other similar large items that may obstruct the view of others. You may bring a picnic, and alcoholic beverages are permitted. Food and drink (including wine, beer, and mixed drinks) will also be available for purchase.
The Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing selections of classic Americana with a brief intermission.
