Intro to Orienteering on Grandfather
Date: 3/5 - 3/05   click here for website

This activity instructs participants on how to use a map and compass to navigate across unfamiliar terrain as well as participate in a practice course. This program will teach you how to read topographic maps, navigate various terrain and vegetation, and to be able to understand how to read and communicate coordinates.
Cost per person: free with admission
Program starts at 11:00am and lasts approximately 1 hour
Meet at the Woods Walk Picnic area.

Skiing competition at Appalachain Ski Mtn

Wounded Warrior Project at App Ski
Date: 3/9 - 3/09   click here for website

On Saturday, March 9th, the Appalachian Ski Patrol will be hosting a Ski/Board Event for members of the Wounded Warrior Project. Along with assistance and support from Local and Regional EMS, Fire/Rescue and Law Enforcement Officers, Appalachian Ski Mtn. will provide a day of skiing and boarding for our Nations Heroes who have fought for our freedom and provided so much for all of us.
